(a) Promote and ensure application of correct educational policies, plans and programs;

(b) Evaluate and ensure implementation of the Millennium Development Goals that are relevant to its mandate;

(c) Encourage scientific research geared towards development;

(d) Promote the development and application of information technology in the development process;

(e) Any other relevant matters assigned to it by the Speaker or the Assembly.
