Function of Committee
The Committee shall, inter alia, have the following functions: -

(a) Ensure and promote respect for human rights and the rule of law;

(b) Promote peaceful coexistence and human rights awareness through civic education in Southern Sudan.

(c) Promote gender equality;

(d) Exercise oversight on programs of repatriation, resettlement, rehabilitation and reintegration of Returnees and Internally Displaced Persons.
